AURORA, Colorado — Churches in Aurora and much of Colorado held special prayer services and vigils Friday night in response to a mass shooting that killed 12 people and wounded 58 others inside a theater during a midnight showing of the new Batman movie.
Pastors and ministry leaders are making not only their churches available, but their spiritual counsel as well. The gunman identified by police as James Holmes is reported to have committed one of the deadliest mass shootings in recent U.S. history.
