VATICAN CITY, Italy – Pope Benedict XVI had a meeting earlier today with the other delegates who attended during yesterday’s World Day for Peace in Assisi gathering and he further mentioned that the meeting really showed how “genuine the desire for peace and the good of others is.”

“In a certain sense, this gathering is representative of the billions of men and women throughout our world who are actively engaged in promoting justice and peace,” explained Pope Benedict.
